Norwegian, Europe’s third largest low-cost airline, is continuing to expand its international operations by signing an agreement to purchase 19 new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners – the order will help more than quadruple its current long-haul fleet to 38 aircraft within the next five years.

Norwegian, the third largest low-cost carrier in Europe, is offering members of its loyalty programme, Norwegian Reward, a 20 per cent discount on Premium class flights to the U.S. when booked by 26th October.
Continued passenger growth and solid load factors were the key factors in Norwegian’s September traffic figures. More than 2.4 million customers flew with the airline this month. The load factor was 88.2 percent and long-haul operations contributed considerably to the positive traffic figures.

More than 2.5 million customers flew with the airline this month and the load factor was close to 90 percent. Widerøe’s Flyveselskap, Norway’s oldest airline, is Scandinavia’s largest regional carrier. The airline has more than 3,500 employees. Mainly operating the short-runway airports in rural Norway, Widerøe operates several state contract routes (PSO routes) in addition to its own commercial network. In 2024, the airline had 3.8 million passengers and a fleet of 49 aircraft, including 46 Bombardier Dash 8’s and three Embraer E190-E2's. Widerøe Ground Handling provides ground handling services at 41 Norwegian airports.
