Norwegian launches new route from Oslo to Fort Lauderdale
Norwegian launches Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as a new destination from Oslo. This is the airline’s third long-haul destination from Oslo Gardermoen (OSL), making Norwegian the largest operator of direct long-haul routes from Norway’s main airport.

Norwegian (NAS) today reported its monthly traffic figures. The passenger growth continued also in March. Even with a strong capacity increase, the load factor remains high. Norwegian’s passengers also fly longer distances now than previously.

Today Norwegian launches a service that makes it possible to rent a wide range of movies and TV shows on board. Norwegian is the first airline in Europe to offer this service. It is available on all of the company’s 60 WiFi-enabled aircraft.

Norwegian launches a new direct route to Ibiza from London Gatwick
Norwegian Air Shuttle is launching its 14th new direct route from its new base at London Gatwick. Starting May 25th, the airline will fly once a week, on Saturdays, from London Gatwick to the popular Spanish island of Ibiza.

Boeing Alerts Possible Delay of Norwegian’s First 787 Dreamliner
Boeing has alerted a possible delay in the delivery of Norwegian’s first 787 Dreamliner. The aircraft was scheduled to be delivered in late April. The June delivery may also be affected. In the event that the 787 is not operational in time for Norwegian’s services to New York and Bangkok replacement long-haul aircraft will be leased to ensure that flights are operated as planned.

Norwegian reports its best ever quarterly results
Norwegian (NAS) today reported a pre-tax profit of almost 900 million NOK. This is the company’s best ever result, an improvement of 187 million NOK from previous year. New aircraft have saved the airline 28 million NOK in fuel costs compared to the third quarter in 2011.
