Norwegian launches seven international routes out of Gothenburg
Norwegian meets continued strong demand in the Swedish market by launching seven new international direct routes out of Landvetter, the primary airport for Gothenburg. The new routes will open in June to Malaga, Palma, Pristina, Chania and Nice. In August, Barcelona and Rome will be added to the route portfolio.
The company has experienced substantial passenger growth over the past few years. With an expected capacity growth of 20-25 per cent in 2011, Norwegian continues its expansion in Sweden, its second largest market.
“After the successful launch of the Gothenburg-Stockholm route it has simply been a question of time before Norwegian would go international from Gothenburg,” said CEO Bjørn Kjos.
