Norwegian reports a 25 percent passenger growth in March
Norwegian carried more than 1.8 million passengers in March 2014, an increase of 25 percent compared to the same month last year. The capacity growth was 51 percent, in absolute terms the highest capacity growth in a single month.

Norwegian reports a full year result of 437 MNOK in 2013
Norwegian (NAS) today reported its fourth quarter and full year results for 2013. The company reports a pre-tax profit (EBT) of 437 MNOK. The company’s total fourth quarter result was -283 MNOK. The year has been characterized by strong passenger growth and international expansion, and additional costs related to the start-up of the long-haul operation.

Norwegian orders four new 787-9 Dreamliners
Norwegian has signed an agreement to lease four new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. This means that the company has ordered 14 wide-body aircraft in total; three of which are already in service. The 787-9 is larger than the 787-8 that Norwegian currently operates on its long-haul routes.

Today Irish authorities issued an air operator’s certificate (AOC) and operating license to Norwegian’s subsidiary Norwegian Air International Limited, which is based in Dublin.

More than 5,500 Americans want to work for Norwegian Air
Norwegian continues to expand internationally and is currently establishing new crew bases in New York and Fort Lauderdale. More than 5,500 Americans are competing for 300 jobs as cabin crew on Norwegian's routes between the U.S. and Europe and Asia. “We’ve encountered a luxury problem,” said Norwegian’s HR Director, Gunnar Martinsen.

Norwegian opens crew bases in New York and Fort Lauderdale, and hires American crew members
The European airline Norwegian will soon open its first crew base in New York. The next base in Fort Lauderdale will be opened during the first quarter of 2014. Norwegian is the first European carrier to establish crew bases in the Unites States and to offer several hundred jobs to American crew. Norwegian’s entry into the U.S. market will also create millions of jobs.

Changes to Corporate Structure implemented
Reference is made to notices to the stock exchange of Aug. 30th 2013 and Oct. 15th 2013. Norwegian has completed the planned restructuring activities for 2013. The background for the restructuring is to optimize the airline operation, and set a new corporate structure in order to position the company for further international growth.

Charter contracts
Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA has signed agreements for the transportation of charter passengers from the UK and the Nordics to Spain, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy and Cyprus on behalf of TUI Nordic (Star Tour, Fritidsresor, Finmatkat), TUI UK, Thomas Cook Northern Europe and Nazar Nordic for the summer season 2014.

Norwegian acquires two new, bigger Dreamliners
