28 per cent passenger growth for Norwegian in January

The total number of passengers flown in January 2010 was 827,743 compared to 648,302 last year, an increase of 179,441 passengers (28 %). Compared to the same period last year: - Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 28 % - Total capacity (ASK) increased by 28 % - The load factor was 72 %, which is equivalent to last year
Norwegian has entered into an agreement with Star Tour, a subsidiary of the world’s largest leisure travel company TUI Travel Plc, for the transportation of Star Tour customers during the winter of 2010/11.
Norwegian experienced strong passenger growth last year and flew 18 per cent more passengers than the previous year. In total, 63 new routes were established; 30 in Denmark, 18 in Sweden and 15 new routes in Norway.

Anne-Sissel Skånvik has been appointed Senior Vice President Corporate Communications for Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA. Skånvik will be member of the Group Executive Management team and report to Chief Executive Officer Bjørn Kjos. Skånvik begins her new position 16 February 2009.
