Norwegian - On Air episode #5: Norwegian Cargo
Did you know that the fresh Norwegian king crabs you eat in New York, most likely have been transported from the very north of Norway to the restaurant in Manhattan by Norwegian Cargo? Or that Stockholm Arlanda is one our key export destinations for cargo? Although a lean organisation, the Norwegian Cargo unit did account for nearly NOK 430 million of our total revenue in 2017.
In this podcast, Trine Nygaard, Cargo Manager in Norwegian Cargo, since the startup of our cargo business in 2013, shares the great potential of increasing the revenue from our air freight operations through an even closer collaboration especially with our Network and Revenue Department. She explains how the cargo organisation works through an ever-expanding network of general sales agents throughout the world. And with the new transatlantic routes from Amsterdam, Madrid and Milan starting up this European summer, there are ample opportunities for attracting new cargo customers.
