SALE AND LEASEBACK TRANSACTION

Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA has completed a sale and leaseback agreement with Bank of America Leasing Ireland Co., Limited (BALI) for two Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The first aircraft will be delivered BALI on the 23rd of September and the second will be delivered medio October. At the date of delivery the aircraft will be leased back on an agreed dry lease agreement.

The total number of passengers flown in August 2010 was 1,287,471 compared to 1,007,623 last year, an increase of 279,848 passengers (28 %). Compared to the same period last year: - Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 32 % - Total capacity (ASK) increased by 35 % - The load factor was 79 %, down 2 p.p.

Norwegian continued its passenger growth in August. Approximately 1.3 million passengers flew with the airline last month, an increase of 280 000 (28 per cent) compared to the same month last year.

On November 6th, Norwegian will launch weekly flights to the popular seaside resort of Agadir, Morocco from Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. At the same time the airline increases its weekly flight from Oslo to Marrakech from one to two departures a week and introduces a twice-weekly offer from Stockholm and Copenhagen to Marrakech.

The total number of passengers flown in July 2010 was 1,322,695 compared to 1,048,684 last year, an increase of 274,011 passengers (26 %).

Norwegian buys an additional 15 aircraft from Boeing

Norwegian has confirmed an order of an additional 15 Next-Generation 737-800 jetliners from Boeing. The brand new aircraft will be delivered between 2014 and 2016. Norwegian already has a pending order of 48 state-of-the-art 737-800s from Boeing that are continually being delivered up until 2014.

Norwegian cuts costs, boosts competitiveness

Norwegian carried 3.2 million passengers in the second quarter – a 15 percent growth compared to the same period last year. The airline’s total revenue came in just above 2 billion NOK, a 7 percent increase. The net result after taxes of -134 million NOK was strongly influenced by the Authorities’ closing of the European airspace this spring.

Norwegian reports yet another passenger record

Norwegian reports its best passenger figures ever in June. More than 1.2 million passengers flew with the airline last month. The company had a passenger growth of 25 percent compared to June 2009.

In 2023, the airline had 3.3 million passengers and a fleet of 48 aircraft, including 45 Bombardier Dash 8’s and three Embraer E190-E2's. Widerøe Ground Handling provides ground handling services at 41 Norwegian airports.
