Norwegian Orders Two Additional Boeing 787 Dreamliners

Norwegian has signed an agreement to lease two additional Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners for its future long-haul operations. The company has previously entered into agreements to purchase three and lease three aircraft of the same type, securing a delivery of a total of eight Dreamliners. The Dreamliner is a plane for the future, with high passenger comfort, low operating costs and reduced emissions.

Norwegian Reports Solid April Passenger Figures

Norwegian (NAS) today reported April traffic results. More than 1.3 million passengers flew with the company in April, up 11 percent compared to the same month previous year. This month’s traffic figures were influenced by Easter, as a majority of the holiday travel was conducted the last weekend in March.

Norwegian First Quarter Results 2012

First quarter revenue up by 25% to MNOK 2,360 (1,895).
 
RASK up 7% to 0.38, where yield was up 3% to 0.49 and load factor was up 3% to 77%.
 
Earnings before depreciation and leasing (EBITDAR) were MNOK -252 (-230).
 
Earnings before tax (EBT) were MNOK -398 (-406).
 
The number of passengers was 3.65 mill. (+19%).

First Boeing 787 Dreamliner Visit To Scandinavia

Boeing’s new long-haul aircraft, the 787 Dreamliner, visits Norway and Scandinavia for the first time on May 1. The visit is a part of the aircraft’s world tour – The 787 Dream Tour – where Norwegian’s future customers and partners have the opportunity to experience the airplane up close. Norwegian currently has – as the only Scandinavian airline six Dreamliner on order.

Early redemption of NAS02 and new unsecured bond issue

Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA has today summoned a bondholder meeting in NAS02 (ISIN NO 001 0560915) to be held 30 March 2012. The bondholder meeting is requested to approve an early redemption of NAS02 in combination with a new bond issue in the amount of up to NOK 600,000,000 with maturity in April 2015.
